RIP Richard Kiel, The Guy Who Played Jaws in the Bond Films

RIP Richard Kiel
1939 - 2014 (Age 74)

Richard Kiel passed away yesterday, just three days shy of his 75th birthday.  Kiel was an actor, most widely known for his role as Jaws, the villain in the James Bond movies "Moonraker" and "The Spy Who Loved Me."

Standing an imposing 7 feet 2 inches tall, he was able to carve out a small little niche in the film industry as a strong, silent, type of bad guy character.  Although he starred mostly in B-movies, he made a small little comeback with a supporting role in Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore as his former boss who Gilmore shot in the head with a nail gun.

One of my favorite shirts spotted here, "Guns don't kill people, I kill people."
Even though Richard may have played villains, he was known as a well-liked nice guy.  Sandler tweeted out his condolences to the family yesterday as well.

The cause of Kiel's death has not yet been released, but RIP to a memorable guy with a good heart from what I read about him.
