Red Sox with an Unconventional Late Walk Off Last Night

In a game the Red Sox trailed 5-0 in the bottom of the sixth, they strung together some clutch hits to pull of a little bit of a late night miracle against the Orioles last night.  Starting with a 3-run blast from Johnny Gomes and finishing with a frantic play at the plate with a bases-loaded line out from Mike Carp and more stop-and-starts from 3rd base to home by Pedey than I care to remember.

It all worked out in the end as the throw home from left field was way off line and provided enough time for Pedey to hustle home with winning walk off run.

The Red Sox honored those who were affected by last year's Marathon Bombings before the game in an emotional and heartfelt tribute.  Doctors, nurses, EMTs, rehab specialists, people injured in the bombing, marathon runners, police, and the families of those who passed away.

Uh oh, it just got a little dusty in here.

I can't wait to watch the game this morning.  First pitch is at 11:05.
