UConn Takes Down #11 Cincinnati at Home; Plus Nick Lachey, Jim Calhoun, and Vanessa Minnillo

UConn 51 (23-6) - #11 Cincinnati 45 (24-5)

Awwwwwwww Yeaaaahhhhhhh!!!

It is unfathomable how Cincy Coach Mick Cronin didn't receive a tech in this game.  Makes absolutely no sense.  He was throwing out profanities, pushing both his players and assistant coaches, and essentially being a feisty little leprechaun for the entire game.

It was sloppy from start to finish but Cincy games are usually like that because the game becomes about defense, just the way they like it.  UConn was able to keep Kilpatrick in check for the game which was their problem in their first match up as he is basically their entire offense...seriously, I swear half those guys have never dribbled a basketball.  Kromah did a really good job on him.

Bazz nailed his free throws down the stretch to seal the deal as Cincy did exactly the opposite.  The win should cement UConn as probably a #5 seed as of right now with a chance to move up when they play at Louisville before the end of the year.

On a side note, it was great to see a big Cincy fan at the game. Nick Lachey is a good dude and yes, I used to call Miller Lites 'Lacheys' in college, so there's that.

And of course, I now need a picture of Nick's wife...you know, cause she's hot.  So here's Vanessa Minnillo.  You're Welcome.

And I caught the legend himself, Jim Calhoun at the bar afterwards too, so I guess it was a good day.

And lastly, here's my obligatory picture of Niels Giffey.
