UConn 61 (22-6) - South Florida 56 (12-16)
Well, that was way closer than it needed to be. Thanks to an 18-0 run (8 points via Ryan Boatright) in the 2nd half and Shabazz Napier waking up to score 15 of his 17 in said half, UConn was able to avoid, what would have been, a helluva bad loss on their NCAA tournament resume.
That's really all there is to say about this one. It was an ugly first half for both teams and a very good spurt in the second half for the Huskies. The outcome was as expected but it wasn't fun to watch by any standards.
Up Next, UConn hosts #11 Cincinnati at the XL Center in Hartford.
