UConn 80 (17-4) - Houston Cougars 43 (11-10)
UConn completely dominated this game from start to finish against a Houston team that was over-matched in every single aspect of the game. The Huskies were able to avenge their loss from earlier in the season at Houston and were able to put everything together for a game in which DeAndre Daniels didn't even suit up for.
Houston shot putrid numbers in every phase: 41.7% from the line, 27.3% from the field, and 11.1% from behind the arc. Their starting lineup was only able to muster a combined 17 points between the five of them. UConn had 6 players score 7 points or more, led by Shabazz with 19, while the Cougars had only 1 player record more than 7 points (Danrad Knowles off the bench with 10).
This is what UConn looks like when they're clicking on all cylinders...without their second leading rebounder and scorer...now that's scary.
Next Up: Next Thursday at #13 Cincinnati on ESPN. By the time this game comes around, Cincy, winners of 13 straight, should be a top ten team after beating #12 Louisville this week. What Cincy lacks in scoring, they make up for with great defense (ranked #5 in points allowed).
